Lean Business Consulting is promoting operational excellence through continuous integrative improvement to help achieving alignment of operations to business strategy. The intention is, through team work empowerment, to maximise the direction of the value proposition of the business to the customer and the consumer by doing things differently and to eventually improve the bottom line results.

Our approach is summarised in the following steps of Empowerment to Differentiate for Results (EDR):

  • We agree with the client the scope of the project.
  • We start with a site audit to identify areas for improvement.
  • In close cooperation with the client we quantify the benefits of the identified opportunities in terms of both value and complexity and decide on the appropriate budget to support the project.
  • We prioritise the identified opportunities, we agree with the client on a balanced scorecard of targets and we create a roadmap that leads to a masterplan of projects. A steering group is organised to support and challenge the project teams and do the project follow up.
  • A kick off meeting is organised to communicate the masterplan to the stakeholders and the project teams.
  • Training sessions and efficient facilitation is organised to support the teams to deliver in time in full. A toolbox is available to help the teams in problem solving.
  • We institute regular meetings to ensure proper project follow up and remove obstacles that create bottlenecks.
  • Organisational adjustments are to be discussed and implemented to enable the successful commissioning and the sustainability of the proposed improvements.
  • Implementation follow up will indicate any possible adjustments required to ensure achievement of the targets agreed upon in the balanced scorecard.
  • Update and standardisation of all the existing processes as required, is organised to support the sustainability of the proposed improvements.
